Ecuador (Amazonica)
In June of this year Armand Rudolf von Rohr, CEO RVR Service AG, and his brother, Beat Rudolf von Rohr, started a 10-day trip to the Ecuadorian Amazon region to open a Clean Forest Park. Together with the Amazonica Foundation, which is committed to the reforestation of the tropical rainforest in the Amazon region, the Clean Forest Club has planted 1,000 trees and set up teaching boards in the area of the Achuar Indians.
The rainforest in the Amazon region has been heavily thinned in recent years, primarily through oil production, timber industry and road construction. This not only threatens the survival of the particularly diverse flora and fauna in this area. The inhabitants of the rainforest villages are also gradually losing their livelihood: their multifunctional forest.
